Days before the incident, there was a three-point shooting competition held in Tokyo. Klay Thompson was seen giving an interview after winning the competition with Stephen Curry. In the interview, he said, “Yeah, loved shooting the basketball, specially on the same team with Steph.” Later on, he added, “It?was nice to humble Jordan Poole.”?
Only a few days later, reports started spreading which was later confirmed by the officials. As it turns out, Draymond Green reportedly punched Jordan Poole during Warrior’s training session.
Jordan Poole and Draymond Greens rift takes a new turn
Several theories have been proposed in response to this dispute. Some claim that Green and Poole had a verbal argument that resulted in Green punching Poole in the chest. Some say that the reason for this unacceptable event was Poole’s upcoming season contract and his changes in behavior. Later on, Warriors GM, Bob Myers broke his silence on the event.
Myers confirmed the event of Green punching Poole. And he later declined all the rumors regarding the reason for this dispute. He said the incident took place because of the trash talks between the two. The executive also added that Green apologized for his actions and some disciplinary actions will be taken by the team and management.

When it comes to the behavior of Poole, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr came to his defense. He said that Poole’s attitude has been fantastic throughout the training session. Kerr will be deciding Green’s return to the training as per his punishment. It was a shocker for all the Warriors fans to see such a dispute before the new season.
