Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is more than just a basketball player and a global icon. The four-time NBA champion does a lot of charity work and along with his wife, he has founded the Eat. Play. Learn foundation. This foundation has the goal of helping underprivileged children and giving them a better life. Not only in his own country and region, but Steph Curry has also helped people all across the world.
Early on in his fantastic career, Curry visited the northern part of Tanzania which is home to numerous refugee camps. Having seen the suffering up close, the Warriors superstar changed the lives of millions through a $5 investment.

Stephen and Ayesha Curry believe in making an immediate difference in people’s life. When Curry was relatively new to the league, he visited Tanzania and it changed him forever.
Seeing the conditions of people suffering from malaria, the four-time NBA champion was touched. He said, “It moved me and made me see that even small changes can have this outsize impact.”
Steph visited Tanzania under the UN Nothing But Nets program. The distribution of $5 mosquito nets has saved around 7 million lives since 2000 under this program. Safe to say, Steph Curry has played a part in this as well.
Interestingly enough, this visit was so important for Curry, he missed his wedding anniversary with Ayesha. She had to take care of her three-week-old daughter in the absence of Stephen Curry.
