Atlanta Hawks came out as the winners in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against Milwaukee Bucks. With that, the Hawks continued their streak of winning the first game of each series. They did it against the New York Knicks, then the Philadelphia 76ers, and now the Bucks. Another thing in common in these games was Trae Young putting up prime performances that have led the Hawks this far.
Despite having very different rosters, the two teams were neck to neck throughout. It was a constant tug-of-war as they fought for leads throughout the game.
In fact, the Milwaukee Bucks were leading and looked in control in the last few minutes of the game. But it was clearly Atlanta’s night as they sealed a 116-113 victory.

Isiah Thomas predicted the potential Trae Young displays
As usual, the Atlanta Hawks owe their celebration to their star youngster Trae Young. Trae added a monstrous 48 points to the scoreboard, along with 11 assists, and 7 rebounds.
Despite the Hawks being considered as the underdogs for the most part of the season, Young’s playoff run has turned it around for them. Like almost everyone, legendary Isiah Thomas is also in awe of the superstar.
On NBA TV, Isiah first jokingly wanted to be addressed as Trae because of his brilliance. Then, he confessed that he and Rashard Griffith had been watching Trae ever since he was in college.
He said, “Everything that we thought he was going to be, he’s coming to the NBA and he’s doing it.”
Then, Isiah came back to what Young pulled off in the latest game.
“He picked Milwaukee’s defense apart. Not only did he pick it apart but every time they made an adjustment, he had an answer for it,” he concluded.

If they can’t make Young pay on the defensive end, their offense needs to step up. Nobody beyond the Bucks’ Big three was of any help on the scoreboard.
In fact, even Khris Middleton failed to provide the expected offensive firepower, adding a meager 15 points. Only Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday made a difference with their 67 points in total.
If their bench players come off and contribute, they could beat the Hawks, who are being carried by Trae Young. Do you think the Bucks can even the series? Or will Trae be too much for them to handle?
