The ball got intercepted by Bird, who then layed it up for the lead. The 2x NBA champion’s blunder cost the Pistons the Game five as the Pistons failed to score after that possession.?

After winning Game five, the Celtics went on to win the series, eliminating the Detroit Pistons. They faced off against Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals. The Celtics came short in the finals and lost to the Lakers in six games.
