Just as his career began fading, the great MJ rose up the ranks. He went on to become one of the greatest guard-forwards ever, and both of them picked up 6 NBA championships. However, one clearly edged out the other in Isiah’s eyes.

Isiah Thomas posts stats that rate Kareem Abdul-Jabbar over Michael Jordan

A former player himself, Isiah Thomas is a 12-time All-star. This isn’t too far from the tally of ‘His Airness’, who was an All-star for as many as 14 times. In comparison, the now 74-year-old Jabbar made 19 All-star appearances. This isn’t the only statistic where Kareem has outdone Jordan. As re-posted by Thomas himself, the Lakers legend has some proven statistics in favor of him, over his former Bulls counterpart.

Originally posted by former Houston Rockets player Eddie A Johnson, Kareem has more NCAA titles, MVP awards, All-star appearances, points, etc. than MJ. Interestingly, it can be argued that the former has played more seasons in the league, hence adding up better numbers.

Regardless, Isiah Thomas decided to retweet Johnson’s post, which perhaps indicates that he gives the edge to Kareem over Jordan in this debate. Eddie’s original post was captioned, “Me impersonating a MJ policeman after reading this stat line, ‘but MJ was 6-0’.”
