Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Milwaukee Bucks finally burst onto the scene last year. After a string of impressive outings, the side finally turned it into gold. Claiming the NBA crown against the Phoenix Suns, the men in green have begun a potential era of dominance. Along with his brothers in arms – Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday, Giannis grabbed his first-ever title, and most probably not his last.

But are his two teammates getting rather too close?

Last season, Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged over 28 points. He was the center of the Milwaukee attack and instilled a fierce attitude among his fellow players.

When the forward was missing in action, however, the side required the others to rise to the occasion. And Mike Budenholzer found two gems in Middleton and Holiday, who shone right through. Silent but deadly with Giannis, they showcased their full skill set when needed the most. They are a solid duo, both on and off the court.

Giannis Antetokounmpo reveals how Middleton and Holiday have become very close

With a lot of pressure falling on them this year, the Bucks have not yet stumbled. They have begun their campaign on an impressive 3-1 note, with victories against the likes of the Nets and Spurs. Meanwhile, their experienced men continue to set the stage on fire. Along with 2-time MVP Giannis, the rest of the team is also proving to be proficient. In fact, even off the court, his teammates are bonding rather well, even without him.

In a recent Zoom interview during the pre-season, the Bucks’ #34 spoke about how the Khris Middleton-Jrue Holiday equation has grown leaps and bounds.

“Oh yeah, [their relationship] it’s grown a lot,” admitted a seemingly unbothered Giannis. “They sit next to each other in the locker room now. Yeah, they go out to dinners. Dates and stuff.”

Meanwhile, Middleton, who was going to join the call next, hilariously asked the Greek freak if he was jealous of this. To this, Giannis giggled and replied, “I’m not jealous.”

Although he said he wasn’t envious, do you think Giannis Antetokounmpo is feeling a bit left out? All jokes aside, he will be hoping that the trio can connect on the court to ensure the franchise retains their crown. With a tight set of fixtures coming up, remaining focused will be imperative for Budenholzer and co.
