There’s a certain level of animosity that players from the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies hold for each other and it was evident when the teams recently faced off. Earlier this month, Draymond Green took a dig at the Memphis Grizzlies by saying they are not ready to compete for a championship. During last night’s game, Klay Thompson made fun of Memphis by reminding them of the number of championships he has. One of the Grizzlies’ stars, who often trades verbal jabs with the Warriors players, was back at it again as the Grizzlies toppled the Warriors 133-119 at the FedEx Forum.

Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks didn’t hold back on Thompson and Green in his post-game interview. Meanwhile, his comments quickly caught the attention of fans and prompted them to reflect on the affair on social media. They seemingly disliked the remarks made by Brooks about the aforementioned Warriors players.

In the post-game interview, the interviewer asked Brooks whether the Warriors were one of the teams that he finds easy to play against. The Grizzlies guard responded by saying, “Oh yeah.” He proceeded to cut down Thompson?and the former DPOY to size with his comments.

The 27-year-old said, “They got Draymond talking, they got Klay talking. So it’s easy to get ready for this game. I was ready. I only got 4 hours of sleep and I was all ready ready to go.”

Brooks’ comments only showcased the confidence he has in his abilities. He didn’t even bother to get an adequate amount of sleep as he already knew he wouldn’t have any trouble facing the Warriors. Judging from his comments, the 27-year-old didn’t even consider them as a strong opponent despite the presence of Stephen Curry.

Last night, the Grizzlies guard not only replied with his mouth but also got the best of Thompson and Green on the court. He outscored both of them as he dropped 18 points, while both of them could only score 14 points and 11 points respectively.

Fans were furious with Brooks’ comments

Fans swarmed the comments section of the aforementioned video not long after it started circulating on the internet. They didn’t like his remarks and vented their annoyance. Most of them questioned why he talked big when the Grizzlies have not won any championships till now.
