Injured Ben Simmons Called ?Pretty Girl That Is Single? in Epic Rant Following Celtics? Sweep of Kevin Durant?s Nets

The Nets versus the Celtics series was the first one to end in the first round of the playoffs. No one ever expected the Nets to go out like this. Durant and Irving didn’t seem to be in their playoff modes all around. But the Celtics had their revenge on KD and the Nets.

Ben Simmons was questionable for game 4, and it seemed like he was going to play. Though in the end, KD and the Nets faced the Celtics’ wrath, which turned out to be one of the greatest upsets in NBA history. The Nets stood 7th in the East, mainly because of the absence of KD and Kyrie during the regular season, but fans expected the team to advance up to the third round.

Ben Simmons could’ve played game 4, helping Kevin Durant and Kyrie

The Nets did list Simmons as returned, but due to back soreness, Ben couldn’t play. Though this wouldn’t have made much difference for a player to come back after a long time, especially in the playoffs is tough. Simmons was traded earlier this season for James Harden and others from the Nets. Kendrick Perkins had a few words for Simmons, as he hilariously described him.

“I said that Ben Simmons is that pretty girl that’s single and everybody’s wondering why she’s single. Because she smokes cigarettes. That’s who Ben Simmons is, the single girl that smokes cigarettes.”, said Perkins.

Simmons will probably return next season, but there is no news yet on roster adjustments for the Nets. This was an unexpected exit for the fans. If not a sweep, the Nets were expected the give the Celtics a tough fight. Durant wasn’t consistent in scoring in the first two games, whereas Kyrie also didn’t seem to be at his full potential.

What’s next for the Nets?

The Nets will look forward to coming back stronger next season and with a dedicated roster. Durant and Irving missed quite a few games this season. Had they played more games, the team would’ve stood up in the East.
