A record that has been held for 38 years by Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Breaking the all-time scoring record is an unbelievable accomplishment, yet some fans are slamming ?The King? on social media for hyping it up.?

After scoring over 50 points in the last two games, LeBron James is now only 36 points away from passing Abdul-Jabbar on the scoring board. For years, no one thought that the record would ever be broken, but James has arguably made it look easy so far.?

James recently compared his NBA scoring record to that of MLB legend Barry Bonds. Notably, Bonds holds the record for the most home runs in MLB history. The four-time NBA champion said about his upcoming scoring record, ?I think it’s one of the greatest records in sports in general. I think it’s up there with the home run record.?

While there might be some truth to what James said, many fans were seemingly not impressed with how the 19-time All-Star tried to hype up his incredible feat. One fan tweeted, ?After 27 season hes such a statpadder.?
