The GOAT debate is still one of the hottest topics in basketball. Almost everyone has a different opinion and who is their GOAT and it seems like a never-ending topic. Even tennis legend Roger Federer joined in the LeBron James versus Michael Jordan debate, but he dismissed it with a Dad joke.
Federer recently announced that he is hanging up his racket after 23 years in the professional field. The 41-year-old legend has been dealing with injuries for some time now and despite fans hoping that he will make a comeback, he is set to retire. His last appearance will be at the upcoming Laver Cup and he is set to team up with his longtime rival and friend, Rafael Nadal.

And Federer is also a longtime basketball fan. He has been watching the sport since childhood. And he weighed in on who the GOAT is.

“I?m like, Come on, OK? There cannot be possibly that many ‘GOATs’. In Switzerland, we have a lot of them, but they?re in the fields.”?
Even Federer could not decide who his GOAT is. But one thing is for sure, he is set to go down as one of the greatest players of all time in tennis. And one of the greatest athletes in the sporting world.

Roger Federer has 20 Grand Slam titles, which is the third-highest of all time, along with 103 ATP singles titles. He was ranked world number one for 237 weeks, which is a record on its own. And he has a record eight singles titles at Wimbledon. And he has two Olympic medals, a gold in 2008 and a silver in 2012.

He has also been one of the top contenders in tennis for a very long time. His rivalries with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic were some of the greatest the sport has ever seen and tennis will surely miss him.
