The relationship between LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers is more than just a player-franchise relationship. From letting the Cavaliers get their hand in their only NBA championship for the first time in 56 years to garner the attention of the fans, James did the impossible with the franchise. However, keeping those things aside, James also managed to send shockwaves into the NBA universe through a simple one-liner. Moreover, his statement also infuriated the Cavs’ fans and left them a bit puzzled.

After spending seven years with the Cavaliers and developing himself as one of the bests in the league, soon James became the talisman of the Cavaliers. He took them to the Eastern Conference semi-finals for the fifth straight season in 2010.

LeBron James infuriated the fans with his decision

LeBron James became a free agent on July 1, 2010. At that time, many teams in the league wanted to sign the Chosen One. However, James finally disclosed his decision on a live ESPN telecast, ‘The Decision.’ In the telecast, James expressed that he was going to sign for the southeastern club, Miami Heat. Subsequently, to support his statement, he added, “In this fall, I am going to take my talents in southern beach and join the Miami Heat.”
