Milwaukee Bucks started off the second half of their season with a blowout victory against the Knicks, defeating them 134-101. While reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with a 24-point triple double, shooter Bryn Forbes stole the show with a perfect display from the three-point line, draining seven three pointers and scoring 21 points.

While players like Joe Harris and Tony Snell have taken the spotlight as prolific shooters, Forbes’ impressive season has flown under the radar. The 27-year-old is one of the top shooters in the league, shooting 47.1% of his threes.

In a post game presser, Bucks’ talisman Antetokounmpo was asked whether Forbes was the best shooter he had ever played with. The Greek Freak had a rather hilarious take on the same.

“No, he’s not. I’m the best shooter, that’s 1 for 1, that’s 100%. What was Bryn, 7-7?

“Last game, did he make a shot last game? Last game in Memphis, did he make a shot? I was 1-1 in Memphis. In the All-Star game I was 3 for 3. So basically I’m 5 for 5. I’m saying in three games, I’m shooting 100%. So who’s the best shooter here?”

Later the 2-time MVP was all praises for Forbes, “No, I’m joking. Definitely he’s one of the best shooters I’ve played with. He can make tough shots. I’ve played with Kyle Korver, I’ve played with great shooters but like Bryn he’s just like he can make tough shots, you know, so happy that he’s my teammate.”

The Bucks will be determined to carry on this form and challenge for the top spot in the conference.

Can the Milwaukee Bucks challenge for the title this season?

The Bucks might not be having the best of regular seasons, but certainly are one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. Ever since the signing of Jrue Holiday, the Bucks have changed their play style.

Although Giannis remains the focal point of their offense, the abundance of shooters and shot-creators has created a more team-oriented offense which has taken some load off of the Greek Freak.

The 2-time-reigning MVP, meanwhile, has resorted to scoring more near the paint and reduced taking inefficient three-point shots. With the team transforming its approach to offense and shooters like Bryn Forbes providing a boost from the bench, the Bucks are looking like a solid unit.

With a lock down perimeter defender in Jrue Holiday, a do-it-all offensive guard in Khris Middleton and a two-way monster in Giannis, the Bucks have their own big three. They have an able support cast with players like Donte DiVincenzo, Brook Lopez, and Bobby Portis, who can contribute offensively as well.

Milwaukee might not be the flashiest team in the East, but certainly has a well-rounded roster. They are in for a deep playoff run and can surely challenge teams like the Nets and the Lakers.
