Morant was apologetic for his actions as well. However, the two-time All-Star seemingly decided to go down that road once again. And now, Shaquille O?Neal had a few words for Morant to help him see things through in the future.

Ja Morant and the Grizzlies were having one of the franchise’s best seasons to date till the incident in March. It put their title hopes on hold. Could they come back from this and focus on the championship? That wasn’t the case as the 2nd seeded Memphis got bounced in the first round by the Lakers. Now, Lakers legend O’Neal shared some words of advice for the polarizing star.

Ja Morant decided to make the same mistake again after being heavily penalized the first time around. The star point guard of Memphis went on to flash his firearm once again on Instagram Live, leading to severe actions against him by the Grizzlies’ front office.

Recently Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O?Neal made an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show. That is where the four-time NBA champion had a few words for the 23-year-old NBA star. Shaq?s mother Lucille has had a lot of influence on his life growing up.

So, for Shaq to have control over his actions has always been his mother, Lucille. While on the show, Shaq emphasized how his mother would feel if he resorted to certain actions that would later be heavily criticized. Shaq said, ?I always think about the higher power and the higher power for me besides God is my mother. How would my mom feel, sitting on the couch, watching me do something like that??

He went on to add, ?I?m not perfect. I?ll say some things and do some things and I?ll get a call from her.? This led the Big Aristotle to explain that if he did lose control and acted on his impulse, it would have serious repercussions, and his mother would not like that.

Shaquille O?Neal always thought about how his mother would feel if he did something that would land him in trouble. And that?s the same point Shaq made in terms of Ja Morant. He urged that for Morant, his higher power should be his family and especially his daughter. He should keep his family and his daughter in mind about how they?d feel seeing him getting called out for his actions.
