NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal recently shocked the world with a picture he posted. He was seen lying on a hospital bed and that raised concerns among his fans. With no specific context to the photo provided by Shaq, people were worried for the Big Man. It was later revealed that Shaq had undergone hip surgery, and the picture was from the time when he was recovering. Having battled long with weight issues, the 7-foot giant is now focusing on getting in shape and his journey is inspiring millions.

Shaq has now been on his fitness journey for some time now and it is showing great results. He often puts up posts on his social media showing his incredible progress. He has already lost 40 lbs and is aiming for another 20 soon. Diesel talked about his fitness journey, workout, diet routines, and the help he got from Novex Biotech in a recent interview with People.

The 4x NBA Champion, in his interview, revealed his secrets regarding getting back in shape. He said that at the beginning of his career; he wasn’t as much of a fitness freak. Shaq said that the reason behind that was he was still providing great results even after eating junk food most of the time. Although his ex-teammate at the LA Lakers, the late great Kobe Bryant once famously said, if Shaq had his work ethic and spent more time in the gym, “He’d be the greatest of all time”.

Shaq is keeping it simple and not overburdening himself with regimes of different kinds. Shaq said, “I’m not one of those diet freaks right now and I’m not telling everybody you gotta be a gym rat. But be active, eat as healthy as you can”. In his process, the Big Aristotle has also become a brand ambassador for Novex Biotech. Shaq now has his own range of supplements called Shaq Pack with Novex. Shaq credited Novex Biotech for his weight cut.

Shaq on not feeling the need for a strict workout in his early days

Diesel was never known to be a big fitness freak, which is why his recent dedication is even more inspiring. He is now looking in his best shape in years and is also focusing on getting better sleep, something he has had trouble with in the past. Shaq talked about his early days with the NBA and said that he never felt the need to work out more, as he was already putting up big numbers. He recalled his coach once compared him to another player who had a strict workout and diet regime.

“I’m going to go eat a couple burgers. He’s going to eat a couple salads. And I’m still busting his ass on the court tomorrow”, he replied in a typical Shaq fashion.
