Without any hesitation, host Matt Barnes asked for an invite on Johnson’s vacation transport.

In his 13-year glorious stint in the NBA, Johnson earned a hefty salary of $40 million. At the time Johnson’s contract was considered to be lucrative. However, that accounts for just 6% of his net worth today. Unlike the majority of the athletes, the three-time NBA MVP had certain investments in mind after hanging the Converses. Likewise, he started the ‘Magic Johnson Enterprises’ to begin his empire.

His early investments in Starbucks, a minority share in the Lakers, and other deals boosted his fortune to over $600 million. With the wealth gathered, one of his biggest purchases is arguably the superyacht, Aquila. And it seems Barnes is desperate to hop on the masterful creation.

Magic Johnson might have a long guest list

Appearing as a guest on All The Smoke podcast, the Hall of Famer gave Barnes and Jackson a dive into his life. However, just minutes into the interview, the former Los Angeles Clippers forward cut him off to ask a question. Unsurprisingly, it was about a five-week trip on the Aquila for him and his significant other. Barnes said, “Magic, I’m gonna cut the bullshit and get right to it. How can me and my girl come to the yacht for 5 weeks in the summertime this year?”

Barnes’ request may seem forward, but the NBA veteran isn’t to blame. Johnson’s yacht is arguably one of the most luxurious in the sea. A 281-feet long machine, the five-time champ takes her out for a spin during the summers. His frequent guests include actor Samuel. L Jackson and LL Cool J.

The Aquila is a $138 million piece of art and a true ‘party boat’. According to The Sun, the yacht is equipped with a spacious jacuzzi, a day bar, as well as a massage room. In addition, it also has a DJ Room to liven up the waters. fully equipped gym and a cinema room make for a luxurious experience for the guests aboard.
