When one talks about some of the best centers in the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal ranks right at the top. He has had one of the most glorious of careers which puts him among the best players and arguably the best center in the history of the NBA.
Interestingly enough, Shaq got furious once for ranking him number 9 among some of the best centers. However, it was further revealed that someone planned beforehand the entire event for April’s Fool’s day.

Shaquille O’Neal gets furious at a joke
There is no doubt Shaquille O’Neal is one of the greatest players in the NBA. Moreover, he has had a successful media venture with the ‘Inside the NBA ‘ show. Despite his light-hearted nature, he once got furious on the sets of the superhit show involving legends like Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith, among others.
During one such screening of the show, the panelists displayed a list of some of the best centers to ever play in the NBA. This list came with a twist. Interestingly enough, this screening took place on ‘April’s Fool Day’ and it was a false list to make Shaq furious.

What happened next left the audience in splits. The list showed Shaquille O’Neal as the 9th best center to ever play in the league, which made him furious. He said, “I’mma tear this set up! I was going to tear the set up!”

Although the panelists let him know about the prank soon enough, things would have gone south in case Shaq took the disrespect to the heart. Moreover, the list contained players like Jack Sikma above Shaq, which made the panelists have a hearty laugh.

There is no doubt Shaq is one of the best, if not the best, center of all time. He won 4 NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat among various other individual accolades. He retired with an average of 23.7 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists for 6 teams across his 20 years in the league.
