Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets superstar, is having a season full of ups and downs. The Brooklyn Nets have lost their last two games in incredible fashion. Previously in the season, Durant lost the services of his talented teammate Kyrie Irving on suspension. The controversy, although directly related to Irving would obviously have affected the squad and their mentality.?
But Kevin Durant, as everyone knows, doesn?t really care about all of that. The strong-minded former Warriors superstar always had a raw approach on-court as well as off-court. The Nets superstar, back in 2015, let it all out while speaking on his approach toward basketball. And his surprise at that information being a surprise for fans.

Kevin Durant on his dogged approach to the game
Back in 2015, when the 12-time All-star was yet to win a single championship ring, sat down to talk about himself. The interview stretched on to various topics and was just held before him, playing his future team, the Golden State Warriors.
Kevin Durant and his mental toughness have been questioned in the past, which the player has replied to. The player?s unbelievable stint with Stephen Curry in the Warriors destroyed opponents as they went on to lift consecutive NBA championships. But back in 2015, before Curry and Kevin played together, they were rivals. Notably, Kevin played for the Thunder between 2009 and 2016.
In 2015, Durant discussed his thought process while playing in the league.
?When I?m on the court, I?m a total a**hole. I?m a d**k.? said Durant while talking to Zach Baron of GQ. He further went on to add ?I don?t talk to the other team. If I fall on somebody, I throw them to the ground, I?m not helping them up. I just feel like it?s a war mode. Like, they?re trying to kill me, but I gotta kill them before they kill me.??
The then Thunders star was very clear about his stance towards opponents and how to deal with them. Durant also expressed his surprise at the fact that this nature of his was unnoticed. The 12-time All-Star mentioned how he hated watching games because of his spitefulness toward the opponents.

Durant?s 2022-23 season
Even though the Nets are on a roller coaster, Durant’s performances are hardly questionable. The Brooklyn Nets star has 15 25-point games for the season. The most in the league.
