NBA superstar LeBron James has had many rivalries over the years. However, his rivalry with the Boston Celtics is one of the most famous ones. James has faced the Celtics during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat. And there have been some epic battles. The ‘Chosen One’ has been successful against the Celtics most of the time. So he is one of the most hated players by the fans and the players.
Celtics star player, Paul Pierce, also had a huge rivalry with James. They went hard against each other whenever they faced.

After retiring, Pierce has been a bit controversial with his comments or actions. Now, he has gone on a bit of a social media rant. He shared a string of tweets and said that one doesn’t know who to trust. He wrote, “If u don?t f**k with me stop following me stop commenting on me u f***in up my timeline on people I?m tryna impact in this world period.”

It is unclear at the moment who Pierce is not happy about. But they have definitely lost the trust of ‘The Truth’.
The LeBron James and Paul Pierce rivalry
There was huge hype around LeBron James even before he joined the league. He was the most exciting prospect in the country and was dubbed the ‘Chosen One’ because fans thought he had what it takes to be better than all-time great Michael Jordan. In 2003, the Cavaliers selected James as the #1 pick in the NBA draft.

At the time, Paul Pierce was one of the superstars of the league. He didn’t like the hype around the rookie James. Interestingly, there was a pre-season game scheduled between the Cavs and the Celtics. And everyone’s eyes were on the young rookie coming from high school. So he decided to show James and the world what he is capable of.

Talking about it, Pierce said, “I don’t know, me and LeBron going back and forth, the bench is yelling at something. And I look over at the bench, and I’m like, ‘That’s why y’all are on the bench’ or something, and I spit at them. And I’m not sure I hit somebody or not, but I spit in that direction.”?The Celtics legend said that was the basis of his rivalry with the Lakers superstar.
