The Miami Heat got a modicum of revenge over the Los Angeles Lakers in their latest encounter. The Heat defeated the depleted Lakers without LeBron James and Anthony Davis in an important game for their playoff hopes. For Miami, this win will be satisfying, especially given how the 2020 NBA Finals ended. And it appears the Heat will bask in the glory of this victory and turn up the gloating online.
Heat beat the Lakers on and off the court
The Miami Heat Twitter page decided to have some laughs at the expense of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Heat posted a picture of the final score, along with a viral video of former NFL player Brandon Marshall screaming. The Tweet was captioned “IF WE WOULDA BEEN HEALTHY!…”. The comment references the Lakers fans arguing the result of this game due to their injury constraints.

For the Lakers, their season has been severely hampered by injuries. Anthony Davis suffered a calf strain a few weeks before the All-Star break and has been sidelined since.
Whereas, LeBron James suffered an ankle injury near the end of March which sidelined him indefinitely too. However, both players are hoping to return within this month, as the Lakers make their final push for a better seed.
For the Miami Heat, their season has turned around massively since the start of the year. The Heat went on a terrible run to open the season, with several stars like Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo having extended absences from the team.
However, they turned their form around at the turn of the year. And they are now looking to secure a top-six seed in the playoffs to avoid a play-in game this year.
