Ball is one of the rising superstars in the NBA and he is undoubtedly the face of the Charlotte Hornets, which is owned by Jordan. The budding star was chosen as the number three overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and he has since then set league ablaze. His passing and playmaking vision are out of this world. In addition, he is a good scorer with sky-high potential. He will also be eligible for a rookie extension next season.
And Ball recently bought a house in Charlotte. It is a luxurious place that is right next to the house of Jordan.
NBA Veteran implies LaMelo Ball bought house next to Michael Jordan to avoid trouble
Meanwhile, NBA veteran Gilbert Arenas revealed there might be another reason that LaMelo bought the house. Recently, Ball’s teammate Miles Bridges got into trouble with domestic violence charges levied against him, and his availability this season has been called into question. And Arenas thinks this might be a factor in Ball’s decision.
He said, ” LaMelo bought the house next to Jordan, so stuff like that don’t happen to him… Who’s your neighbor? Michael Jordan!”
“If police come to their house, who can stop them? Michael Jordan,” he added.

Subsequently, Arenas explained that if something goes awry hypothetically, in such a case, Michael Jordan would act as a first line of defense to stop the law enforcement officials from making any arrests. Moreover, the six-time NBA champion could also use his influence to get LaMelo out of any legal troubles.

This is obviously just speculation on Arenas’ part. There is nothing to indicate that LaMelo Ball would require such assistance. Ball and Jordan have not commented on it yet.
