LeBron James’ being a fan of Liverpool is not a secret anymore. However, fans are not so convinced about that. In fact, they could not help but roast him after the LA Lakers superstar appeared for a short virtual interview with former Liverpool star Peter Crouch in October 2022. The former football star asked James about owning a 2% stake in Liverpool. While the interaction was pleasant, it was LeBron’s answer that cracked up the fans.

Notably, LeBron James owns a minor stake in Liverpool that he bought for $6.5 million. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar bought the shares along with his business partner Maverick Carter back in 2011. In the last month, a video of LeBron’s interview with Liverpool legend Peter Crouch resurfaced on Twitter.

The 51 secs video showed King James in a virtual conference with Crouch and his co-host. When Crouch asked LeBron how he came on to own a minority stake in Liverpool FC, the NBA champ did not have much to say.

“I read about the franchise and how amazing it is. Uhm…you know and I actually made a trip, you know, to Liverpool as well, and see all the sights and the arena and everything and I was sole. It was pretty unique,” replied LeBron.

Once the short clip went viral, fans could not help but point out his bleak answer. Clearly, they were not impressed with LeBron James’ answer. Being an athlete and a stake owner of the English football club, fans probably expected an in-depth answer from him. However, all they got was how amazing the ‘franchise’ and the arena was.
