Pitbull said in the clip, “So to me what failure is: Failure is the mother of success. If it wasn’t for Michael Jordan getting cut from his 9th-grade basketball team, he wouldn’t have become Michael Jordan. If it wasn’t for Oprah Winfrey and how she got fired because she wasn’t good for television. All they can do is learn and come back bigger, better stronger.”

Both Winfrey and MJ broke through any barriers that might have been set. The name Oprah today is well known in every household. She has created a billion-dollar empire. However, even she didn’t find her true calling until she was let go as a news reporter. The failures in life are arguably lessons to do better.

If Jordan gave up, the world would not know the power of sport. Similarly, if Oprah Winfrey didn’t chase her destiny, we wouldn’t have the iconic Oprah Winfrey Show. There have been many who faced failures and leaped into a world of further success. These individuals serve as examples to never stop chasing your vision.
