In 2018, during a game against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center, Stephen Curry lost his cool. With less than five seconds left in the first quarter, superstar Kevin Durant inbounded the ball to Curry. As David Nwaba pressured Curry, he stumbled and almost went out of bounds. As he tried to save the ball, it was intercepted by Nikola Mirotic, who passed it to Nwaba, who subsequently finished it with a dunk. Curry was frustrated that there was no foul call against Nwaba when he lost the ball. With less than a second left on the clock, Curry went to inbound the ball.

However, the two-time MVP threw the ball at the back of Nwaba instead of resuming play, as the quarter came to a close. This received some backlash as the sharp shooter’s sportsmanship was called into question. When one fan questioned Curry’s actions as a role model for children, he defended his actions by replying, “Uhhh. 0.1 seconds on the clock. Pretty smart way to end the Quarter if you ask me. But what do I know? I?d tell the kids to do the same thing.”?

The Warriors won the game. However, Curry’s actions and his reply did not sit well with many. Even though he made a valid point, his action was still questioned. Many argued that the Baby Faced Assassin could have just passed the ball to a teammate and claimed his frustration was the reason behind the move.
