As the NBA season stands just one month away, a new story is in the works. While the Brooklyn Nets are battling for Kevin Durant, a new star is ready to start his journey. Ben Simmons was absent all season long last season. Likewise, the biggest reason was his battle with the Sixers. His organization imposed serious punishment holding up millions. However, it seems the former All-Star has luck by his side.
Before his trade to Brooklyn, a psychological battle was unfolding in Philadelphia. Simmons was going up against his former team. Not playing games and even missing practices, the Australian did everything to stay out. However, that wasn’t going to come without any drawbacks. And for Simmons, a major part of his salary was kept back. The heavy fines came to a stop when he signed with the Nets.

The aftermath of the Hawks series was surely draining for Simmons. Sinking in the pressure, his own home fans turned against him. While it seemed for show, hate does take a toll on the mind. Hence, some reimbursement seems to be fair. However, the basketball world is now more eager to see Simmons return to the court. Despite the ongoing drama, Ben Simmons is all healed up from his back surgery. And with Kyrie being a near lock-in, the Nets still have massive potential to keep building.
