Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving has received a lot of backlash recently after his controversial actions. NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal blasted Irving for his comments and his behavior. Irving’s former teammate LeBron James also denounced his actions and seemingly distanced himself. Seeing all this, legendary rapper Snoop Dogg has seemingly gone against James and Shaq.

Kyrie Irving has been attracting a ton of negative attention over the last few weeks for his post on Twitter. He put a tweet out with a link to a documentary that portrays antisemitic views. And when asked about it, Irving initially refused to apologize for his actions. The Nets guard refused to accept this behavior, causing the franchise to suspend Irving for a minimum of five games. KAI later apologized for his actions in a post on Instagram.

Snoop Dogg takes a stand with Irving after LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal’s comments

Shaquille O’Neal has been very critical of Irving since the controversy first came out. When asked about his actions, Shaq said basketball was about getting people together and Irving was doing the opposite. He called Irving an “idiot” as well while speaking on the ‘NBA on TNT’ show alongside Charles Barkley. At the same time, his former teammate LeBron James was also asked about Irving’s actions. James condemned Irving’s actions and said that he doesn’t respect his views. He did acknowledge Irving’s apology for his actions.

During all this, rapper Snoop Dogg has seemingly taken a stand alongside Irving. He put out a story with the quote, ” I will never stand with the public lynching of another Black man”.

It is not clear whether Snoop Dogg is agreeing with Irving, but fans have been saying that this post was supposedly made in response to Irving’s suspension. Many have said that Irving’s voice was being curtailed and that he was being sent out of the league for his views.
