The recent suspension that has cost Kyrie Irving five games already has been extended into an indefinite period. Until he has met all the requirements and remedial tasks set by the Brooklyn Nets, his return to the game still remains a question mark. The All-Star tweeted his opinions on the subject once again. The Nets’ billionaire owner Joe Tsai gave Irving a stern warning and said that he had to really convince that he was truly sorry for his actions.

“I was not put here on Earth to participate in any religious/political wars or incite racial disharmony/prejudice within communities”, shared Kyrie Irving. He also added that everybody is equal and his purpose is to contribute to a world that is equal. Irving ended his post with his usual fingers crossed and infinity emoji.

Tsai recently claimed that Irving “still has work to do”. Tsai added, “What’s important and what people miss is he only apologized after he was suspended”.

Irving got multiple chances to apologize, but he refused and initially defended himself. The Brooklyn Nets star promoted a film that was alleged to carry antisemitic material. Irving then received widespread criticism for his actions, from the NBA world, analysts, former players, and beyond.

Both Joe Tsai and NBA commissioner Adam Silver were assured that Irving had no discriminatory beliefs against the Jewish community. However, the player still needed to comply with the outlined measures?set by the franchise.
New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum, who is also the President of the National Basketball Players Association, extended his support to Kyrie Irving. He said, “It’s a lot to ask of someone who’s already said they are sorry, who’s already shown empathy, who’s already given his money”. McCollum also stated that Irving has been learning a lot from this experience.
