During an appearance on CBS News’ 60 Minutes interview, former NBA player Charles Barkley criticized Kevin Durant, calling him “very sensitive” and a member of a generation that can’t handle criticism. Barkley has previously voiced his opinion on Durant’s decision to join the Golden State Warriors looking for an NBA championship. Following Barkley’s comments, Durant responded on Twitter, saying he would never respect Barkley’s words and telling him to “just deal with it”. However, Barkley was not ready for the comeback dished out by an ex-NBA star, who happens to be on Kevin Durant?s side on the matter.?
This is not the first time Barkley and Durant have exchanged words. Barkley has been critical of Durant’s decision to join the Warriors, who were already a championship team, and Durant has fired back on social media on several occasions. Despite the ongoing back-and-forth, Durant has had a successful career, helping the Warriors win back-to-back championships and earning multiple accolades on the way, including two NBA Finals MVP awards.

In a recent episode of his podcast Gil’s Arena, three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas took Kevin Durant’s side in his ongoing feud with Charles Barkley. Arenas criticized the media for being too critical of players and not giving them the respect they deserve. ?When we’re dealing with the media when we’re playing we’re too humble… We’re just too humble right, it’s like we have more respect for them than they have for us yeah,? Arenas said.
He then went on to defend Durant, saying that he is better than Barkley and that he should not have to deal with criticism from someone who is not on his level.
?I don’t know why KD hasn’t said it, first of all, dude I’m better than you, right! I was better than you f**king seven years ago when I left to go play for Golden State, I was better than you already right, so…why are you talking about me like I’m one of these other players? I’m better, my career is better than yours,? Arenas said.
Arenas also took issue with the way Barkley has been criticizing Durant, saying that it is not fair for someone who is not in the league anymore to criticize someone who is currently playing.

Adding to a strong comeback that according to Arenas should have been said by Durant, he also added, ?You lucky the 75 ain’t ranked, so you can see that I will be in front of you already, that right there that a humble that’ll humble a mo**erf**ker right there, you know. Shaq would be in that giggling.?
