Michael Jordan was notorious for trash-talking, even with his teammates, and seeking revenge on the court. All of this competition, however, was against his teammates and opponents.
Interestingly, Michael Jordan’s children once shared an anecdote where he got competitive with them. Jeffrey, Jasmine, and Marcus Jordan were part of a podcast discussing different things about their life and how it is to grow up under Michael Jordan.?

One of the questions posed to them was in regards to Michael Jordan’s parenting and if his competitive nature ever got carried to him being a father. Jasmine was quick to respond to the question as she shared that his competitive nature never changed.
Further, Jeffrey talked about how there are misconceptions about his father’s competitive nature. He spoke about his father being in control of his nature and being able to switch it off whenever he desired.

MJ’s children were on ‘The Breakfast Club’ with hosts DJ Envy and Angela Charlamagne. They discussed MJ’s legacy, the documentary, and his role as a father. Jordan is known for his competitive spirit, and his son Jeffrey once took the brunt of his competitive nature!
Michael Jordan nearly caused his son a fatal injury
MJ’s competitiveness is probably his most glorified personality trait. At times, he shared that his nature was his biggest problem. In ‘The Last Dance’, Chicago Bulls legend Jordan clarified that he was never addicted to gambling, and it was never a problem. He said that the real problem was his competition and desire to win. Marcus Jordan shared a crazy story about his father’s competitive characteristics.

About this nature of Jordan’s, Marcus said, “There was this one time where we were playing in their room, and they had these round like in tables at the end of their bed, and so Jeff was going for it a touchdown and I’ll never forget it, my dad, that was Jeff into the glass table Jeff hits his head I thought he was dead “
He talked about playing tackle football in their room. Jordan tackled his own son Jeffrey and caused him 35-30 stitches! Not to forget, that was an accident and Jordan never did that intentionally.
Jordan put on 15 pounds to defeat the Pistons
Michael Jordan and the Detroit Pistons is one of the greatest rivalries in the NBA. After losing to Detroit two times in back-to-back playoffs, Michael Jordan hit the weight room and put on 15 pounds. He went on to defeat the Pistons and never looked back.
