Talking on The Big Podcast with Shaq, former NFL star Spice Adams decided to bring up the name of Theo Ratliff. After absolutely bashing Shaquille O’Neal for quite some time, Spice awaited a response from the former Lakers star regarding Theo.
However, O’Neal was unusually quiet and he admitted his defeat. Shaq said, “I love Theo, I love his wife, I love his daughters, I have nothing to say. You’re absolutely correct Spice. You win.” Moreover, the 4 time NBA champion also revealed that he couldn’t do anything on the court when Theo was there because the latter was too good.
Ratliffe revealed how it was to defend a prime Shaquille O’Neal
The 2001 Los Angeles Lakers team is more than legendary. The team had the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant on the team and they were the favorites to win the title. The Lakers kept up to their expectations and won the 2001 NBA title.
During the same season, Ratliff played for the Philadelphia 76ers along with Allen Iverson and he called it his best season. However, Theo was traded and he couldn’t face Shaq and the Lakers during the 2001 finals. Talking on similar lines, Theo was asked about the toughest players he has faced.

Without hesitation, Ratliff talked about Shaq. “Oh man, without a doubt it was big Shaq! He outweighed me by 100 pounds and when I had to guard that guy, I woke up a lot more sore the next day“, said Theo Ratliff.
