Michael Jordan is known to be highly competitive both on and off the court. When it comes to trash-talking, there is no one like His Airness in the league. While MJ always loved riling up his opponents during the games, it was never a wise thing for his opponents to respond with trash talks of their own. The reason was that those opponents would often end up regretting it. Many of MJ’s peers and rivals can vouch for that.

As much as he loves basketball, MJ also spent a fair amount of time playing golf. So when he retired from the court, it was not surprising to know that Jordan started investing the majority of his time golfing. Many would think that since MJ retired from the court, his competitive nature would gradually dissipate with time. However, they couldn’t be more wrong. The only difference was that, previously he strived harder to be the best at basketball and after retirement he simply diverted the competitiveness to the game of golf. And along with it, also came his impeccable trash-talking skills.
Interestingly, he never toned down his trash talking for anyone. Not even for eminent public figures, like US Presidents.
Michael Jordan makes a remark about Obama
In 2014, former Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan sat for an interview with USA Today. Halfway through the interview, MJ was asked which four people he would pick for golf. Jordan immediately took the name of professional golfer Arnold Palmer as his first choice. He then took the then-president Obama’s name. However, MJ seemed skeptical about it and eventually dismissed Obama as he felt that he would be able to take him out easily. The host then asked him if he was calling the President of the United States a ‘hack’.
In response, MJ said, “Don?t worry about it. I never said he wasn?t a great politician, I just said he was a sh*tty golfer.”

Interestingly, this was not the first time that MJ had trash talked the President. The only difference was that at the time it was Barack Obama. Before that, His Airness had trash-talked against the 42nd President, Bill Clinton. In 2011, MJ and Bill Clinton apparently got together for a game of golf when the particular incident took place. According to The Wall Street Journal, MJ passed a comment to Clinton during their game.
WSJ wrote, “Jordan coaxed him from the white tees to the championship tees by saying, ‘You’re going to play from the little girls’ tee?’ Jordan’s challenge was for Clinton to break 100; he did.”

It was probably a good thing that Clinton did not take it personally like MJ did so often.
