The Golden State Warriors have not had Stephen Curry or Andrew Wiggins in their lineup, owing to their respective injuries. The Warriors seem to be counting on their $140 million star to help keep making a splash, and the NBA star has since delivered. As it was, Jordan Poole was already making heads turn with his games, but it has been noted that he has been?”averaging 27.8 points in the 4 games since Curry sustained a left shoulder subluxation”.
Jordan Poole has been the man of the moment for the Warriors. In their game tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies, however, Poole got thrown out by the referees. This call has infuriated NBA fans.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Jordan Poole got ejected by referee Marc Davis. This was following a second technical. Slater wrote, “Seemed like Poole kind of looked over towards Davis after he thought he was thrown down“.
Fans on social media have erupted and called out the referees for their judgments. Furthermore, this marked Jordan Poole’s first-ever ejection in his whole career.
Here are some of the reactions from NBA Twitter:
Bruh both Draymond and JP need to calm themselves. I hope warriors not choke this game.

Ok. Now this is ridiculous. What was Poole ejected for? I’m not trying to complain about these @NBAOfficials but no one came to see them. Are any of them thinking about the fans when it’s so easy for you to eject guys over nonsense. Come on! Fans deserve to see the players.

This officiating crew has been sub par all night. There are some officials that still don’t under stand that no one paid for a ticket to see them go to work.

Even popular sports commentator and ESPN analyst, Stephen A. Smith questioned the ejection. “Ok. Now, this is ridiculous. What was Poole ejected for? … Are any of them [NBA Officials] thinking about the fans when it’s so easy for you to eject guys over nonsense“, tweeted an equally infuriated Smith.
Despite a forced exit, Jordan Poole scored 32 points with 3 rebounds in the 29 minutes he played, the highest for his team tonight. The Warriors eventually won 123-109 over the high-flying Grizzlies.
The Warriors vs the NBA referees
Since the commencement of the regular season, the NBA world has witnessed more heated moments between the Golden State Warriors and the referees.

Two weeks back, even the usually calm and composed Stephen Curry and head coach, Steve Kerr blasted the officials for the several technical fouls that rained down on the team.
Unfortunately for the defending champions, tonight was no different. Klay Thompson got another foul over Dillon Brooks. Even Jordan Poole got fouled just before half-time. But Poole later entertained himself and the crowd by wearing a Santa hat. He was also seen calmly exiting the court after his ejection.
