There have been probably very few personalities, if any, like Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman in the sports world. From turning his body into a gallery for tattoos to his relentless pursuit to get rebounds on the court, Rodman led a bizarre and eccentric lifestyle. This unique and distinctive lifestyle also brought many insane experiences for him and the people surrounding him. Among them, the story of his former agent, Dwight Manley riding Rodman’s Ferrari without any driving training is an account that many fans haven’t probably heard before. Manley once revealed his experience in a 1996 LA Times piece.

Dwight Manley was a world-renowned coin collector from Orange County, California. His meeting with Rodman happened suddenly but the duo got along very well pretty soon, leading to many fond memories ahead of the road.

In an interview with LA times,’ Manley revealed that he met Rodman for the first time in Las Vegas in 1995. The coin collector further added that he met him again a week later at a bachelor party in Las Vegas. From that meeting onwards, their relationship started.

Subsequently, Manley revealed about a unique experience while returning from that bachelor party with the Worm. The 56-year-old said that he and Rodman left the bachelor party that night and got to the 101 Freeway. Thereafter, the Bulls legend asked him to drive his car after he left it on the onramp because of tiredness. Manley stated, “Dennis stopped the car on the onramp and said, ‘I’m tired, you drive.’ There I was, driving a convertible Ferrari down the freeway. I had never driven a stick before.”

With Dennis around, you have some truly unique experiences,” he added.

Manley finished off by saying that with Rodman around you never know what to expect next. His statements were pretty self-explanatory. Dennis Rodman was probably the most whimsical, unpredictable and fun person in NBA history. And that’s why a lot of people loved hanging out with him.
