Nick Young, NBA champion and former guard of the Golden State Warriors, entered the ring for the first time against TikTok star Malcolm Minikon a month ago. The Tik Tok star was a last-minute replacement for the rapper Blueface. The match took place at a Social Gloves event. The match did not go as planned for Young. Young addressed his first boxing debut performance on a podcast and had some amusing takes on the match.

The match against Swaggy P, a.k.a Nick Young, and Tik Tok star Malcolm Minikon was a mega-successful social event garnering millions of views.

Young was not happy with the way things turned out in the ring. He has repeatedly addressed the fight’s result and alleged that the Tik Tok star took a cheap shot at him in the end. He recently appeared on the ‘Outta Pocket’ podcast and talked about the fight.

On the podcast, when asked about what happened in the fight, Young responded amusingly,?“Man, I got tired, I ain’t goin lie my lie my legs started to get weak”??Young claimed that the fight was very tiring and got worse by the end. The former NBA guard admitted to having thoughts of quitting mid-fight. Young addressed his knockout in a humourous fashion that had the hosts burst into laughter “I was gon quit, so I found a way to get out.”??The rest of the segment had Young and the hosts going through the fight and Young explaining his state of mind during the ordeal.?

When Minikon hit Young at the end of the fight, Young lost balance and fell through the ropes. The clip went viral on Social Media, and trolls flooded Young’s social handles. ‘Swaggy P’ reminded his fans on Twitter that he did not get KO’ed, Moreover, he believes that Minikon got a cheap shot at him. Young also claimed that he had the upper hand in the fight.

The amateur fight included fighters who were inexperienced in Boxing and were trying the sport for the first time. Regardless both of them put on a show for their fans. The fight ended with a dramatic sequence. The match ended in the fourth round with a Knockout. Minikon hit Young on the face with what appeared to be his elbow; the blow knocked Young off his feet and sent him falling through the ropes. The ref stepped in and ended the fight.

Despite a humiliating loss in his first boxing match, Young has continued to challenge other athletes to enter the ring with him. However, the person he wants to box the most is his former teammate on the Los Angeles Lakers, D’Angelo Russell.
