Hollywood actress Gabrielle Union and NBA legend Dwyane Wade have always been very candid about their relationship goals and expectations. No matter what stage they’re on, whether it’s on a red carpet, on a basketball court, or on vacation with the family, they’ve never hesitated to show off their love.

As they both had come from different types of marriages, it took them a long time to regain trust and love. In 2005, Union announced that she had separated from former NFL player Chris Howard.

At the time, Wade was still married to his then-wife, Siohvaughn Funches. Zaya and Zaire are Dwyane Wade and Funches’ two children. In 2010, Wade and Union announced their relationship publicly.

Following their on-and-off dating for several years, the couple decided to get married in 2014. After all those years, the couple announced they’d given birth to a daughter, Kaavia James, in 2018. Union once explained how she fell in love with the NBA star after becoming best friends for a period of time.

She explained how she came to know he was the one through the course of time. “When he became my best friend, it started off he was one of my friends. And then it was my best friend, I don’t want to be on this planet without you, I don’t want to do anything that you’re not a part of”.
