Kyrie Irving made his debut in the NBA in 2011. The Cleveland Cavaliers drafted Kyrie as their first overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft. It was clear that the talent he possesses is special. He was very bright ever since he stepped onto the court for the first time. At only 19 he was inducted into the 2011-12 season?s all-rookie team. Then eventually he partnered up with LeBron James to win the 2016 NBA title.
After six seasons with the Cavaliers and a couple with the Boston Celtics, Kyrie joined the Brooklyn Nets in 2019. Safe to say stats-wise, he has certainly elevated his game up a notch. However, from the team?s perspective, it was not a season to remember for the Nets. Nonetheless, Kyrie showed why everyone in the league rated him so highly.?

But the Brooklyn Nets certainly need to make their players click. After James Harden left them in February they have looked shorthanded. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have the responsibility to lead the side to a much better form next season. However, a former NBA champ with the Celtics begs to differ. He thinks the Nets should look in a different direction than that of Kyrie Irving.

Brian Scalabrine said, ?I don?t think that Kyrie Irving is as valuable as people think. Here?s where I put him. If I?m Brooklyn, I?m SERIOUSLY thinking about John Wall over Kyrie Irving.?
NBA Fans go into a spiral after Brian Scalabrine puts John Wall above Kyrie Irving
Brian?s assessment of the two players was surprising and controversial. Safe to say not many people agree with him. Both Wall and Irving are proven quality players but putting Wall above Irving just did not sit right with NBA Twitter.
This isn’t happening. Like, emphatically, it isn’t.
But if this happens after the Lakers turned down Wall for Westbrook I think I’d have to retire from basketball writing forever. I don’t think my soul could take this. https://t.co/00arg2LfzB

Nah this would be a horrible trade. John wall isn’t the same player he was 3-4 years ago

John Wall has the versatility to play different positions and can be very effective in all parts of the game. However, Kyrie Irving is just a better scorer than him. Their stats prove the fact. John Wall has a career average of 19.1 points, having missed all of this past season. Whereas Kyrie Irving averages 23.4 points and this season alone he averaged 27.4. Kyrie stayed at the sidelines for a long period of time struggling with injuries but he certainly affected the Nets for the better. If he had been fit for the whole season, he and KD would have most possibly led the Nets to a better finish.?

Moreover, John Wall had to miss a whole season due to injuries. Kyrie Irving had his struggles but came back strong which only means that he is getting better. ?However, maybe KD and Kyrie clicking together and playing their best basketball is the only hope for the Nets to make next season a success.
