There was no doubt in anyone’s mind about Dennis Rodman and his incredible basketball ability. However, his off-court antics and behavior were a concern, and he had a reputation for being a ‘Bad Boy’. And when this same behavior led him to a long suspension, Rodman decided to set his image right. He rejected massive amounts of money just to show that he is very dedicated to the game when he was playing Michael Jordan and the Bulls.

Rodman was drafted by the Detroit Pistons and he quickly became one of their core players. He enjoyed great success in the early part of his career, as the Pistons were consistently reaching the championship rounds. He won two titles in back-to-back years, firmly establishing himself as an all-time great.

The Worm finally got a chance to earn his name back when he joined the Chicago Bulls led by Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. He quickly became a key player in the team and he won another title with the Bulls. But in his second year, he got into trouble for his actions on the court.

In a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1996-97 season, a cameraman tripped Rodman over. And while he was getting back up, Rodman kicked him in the groin and shouted at him. This caused a major uproar as the league and the cameraman were not happy. Rodman had to eventually settle with the victim and he was fined by the league as well. On top of that, he was suspended for 11 games.

During that time, Dennis Rodman went on the Late Night Talk Show with Jay Leno. When asked about the incident, Rodman said he was apologetic and he had worked it out with the league. He also said he wanted to set his image right.

Rodman went on to build his legacy as he won the title that year as well. He would win the following year as well and complete a three-peat. However, despite donating to charity, he held on to his image of being the ‘Bad Boy’ of the NBA.
