While basketball fans are constantly striving for more content, a solid alternative has been on the come-up. As the NBA gets into the offseason, basketball fans can turn to the Big 3 tournament for their dose of basketball. A 3X3 tournament played over a FIBA-regulated half-court, the league has been growing more popular since its inception in 2017. However, its owner has a lot of strife with the media and the NBA, especially Adam Silver. Ice Cube has quickly built up a name for his league. A pioneer of the music industry, Jackson has been instrumental in the success of the league. Yet, his gripes are far from over.

O’Shea Jackson Sr., or Ice Cube, has been going around for the past week airing his grievances with the NBA. The entire journey began last week in an appearance on the Dan LeBatard show. Cube used his appearance to call out Adam Silver in particular.

In a video posted on his Twitter account, Jackson called out the NBA and the mainstream sports media for excluding his league in particular. He started off the clip by saying, “Some of you may not have realized that I’m not part of the club.” He carried on, speaking about “the club” being biased against him in particular.

As the Big 3 has gained popularity, its primary attraction has been former NBA stars. However, the league is not associated with the NBA in any way. Ice Cube had some words about that particular train of thought as well. “I don’t give a f**k about working with the NBA. What I want them to do, when I say ‘Work with us,’ is to stop working against us.

While he didn’t offer any concrete ideas about what he meant by working against them, his earlier comments about NBA commissioner Adam Silver might give us a hint.

Near the end of the video, Cube promised to continue venting his frustrations with the league throughout the summer as he goes on a podcast tour. However, it seems like that ship has already sailed.

Appearing on the Dan LeBatard show, Ice Cube called out Adam Silver in particular. Honestly, it seems like our dear commissioner can’t catch a break.  “Really, I think it comes down to Adam Silver. I just don’t think he really digs what we’re doing, personally.” Ice’s central point has been the availability of the Big 3 at a time when basketball games are scarce for the sports fan.

While the Big 3 grows from strength to strength, perhaps the NBA might be forced to join hands with them. We know Ice Cube will be hopeful about it.
