NBA superstar Stephen Curry is one of the most efficient players from the three-point territory. His efficiency has changed the way the game is played all around the world. However, the sharpshooter has had some off games here and there. But one time he had a really bad game where he went 0 of 10 from beyond the arc. And Curry once talked about it during a chat with five-time all-star Joel Embiid. Interestingly, it was when Curry and the Golden State Warriors played against Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Embiid joined Stephen Curry for a chat on the two-time MVP’s show “Five Minutes from Home” in 2019. The Sixers and the Warriors were scheduled to play against each other the next day. During the show, the duo talked about a variety of things. At one instance, Curry asked what it is like to play in Philly. The towering center stated that Philly is different and chill like him.

He then added that there are many great restaurants in Philly and reminded Curry about the last time they had dinner together. “The Process” jokingly revealed that Curry went 0-10 from three-point the next day when they played against each other.

The last time Stephen Curry and Joel Embiid had dinner

Stephen Curry wanted to tell the story behind it and said, “So we got to this restaurant, amazing food. You showed up, like, halfway through dinner. That night after we played y’all the next night. I had too much good food, and I did shoot 0 for 10 from the three-point line.”

Despite his poor shooting from the three-point territory, the Warriors still won the game. Subsequently, Embiid revealed that he wishes the same thing to happen this time too. Because Philly could use a win. On the other hand, Curry made it clear that he has no intention of letting that happen again.

During the sit-down, Embiid also talked about his path to the NBA. The two have had very different start to life with basketball. Curry has been around the game ever since he was born because of his father Dell Curry. And he started playing when he was just six. Embiid, on the other hand, is from Cameroon and did not start playing basketball until he was 16.

He only played soccer and volleyball before that. Embiid disclosed that volleyball was his favorite game growing up. He still follows the sport closely. When he finally started playing basketball, he got an offer to play in the United States. Coaches saw not just a tall young boy but one with potential.
