Ever since it was launched, the brand has brought massive profits to both MJ and Nike. But did you know that MJ’s daughter, Jasmine Jordan, had begun ‘working’ on the brand when she was 10 years old?
Michael Jordan’s eldest daughter is just as hardworking as her father and strives to continue the Jordan legacy. Jordan started out as the coordinator of basketball operations and now works as the field representative of the Jordan Brand. The mother of one is dedicated to her work and aims to expand the brand. Turns out, she had the knack for helping out her father in business from when she was just a kid. During an interview, she shared an adorable fact from her childhood.
Jasmine turns designer at a young age for Jordan Women

The first edition of iconic Jordan shoes was launched in 1984. However, back then, Jordan shoes were only available for men. More than a decade later, in 1998, Jordan Brand launched their first-ever sneakers meant for women known as Jordan Women, a brand that has turned into a movement over the years. At the time, Jasmine Jordan was just a child. In an episode of ‘Give You the Game with Gia Peppers’, Jordan talked about balancing her personal life and work life. Furthermore, she talked about Jordan Women during which she revealed that she used to draw sketches as ideas for her father’s brand.
She said, “You know, it’s all about timing. I mean, we did a women’s line years ago when I a child, honestly. I used to think I was a designer. I would send my little sketches, they made little one-offs and I’m like, ‘Oh I’m a doin’ it.'”

Jordan had previously said in an interview that growing up she wanted to be a designer. Being a basketball lover as well, Jordan managed to find a career where she could work with both.
Jasmine’s love for fashion and basketball
In an interview with ANDSCAPE, Jasmine Jordan opened up about her journey to find the career that fit her perfectly. Growing up, Jordan used to play basketball in school. However, she soon realized that the on-court life was not for her. Her initial dream was to be a fashion designer. She then gradually built an interest in the business side of basketball. Therefore, Jordan majored in sports management and began working for the Charlotte Hornets. However, wanting to do something in fashion as well pushed her to work on the Jordan Brand.
