With nine losses and an injury to four-time NBA champion LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers are desperate to get out of this misery. Reports suggest that the organization is weighing out all its options for potential trades and team-building strategies. One such trade option that they seem to be interested in, involves a three-time All-Star from the Washington Wizards. This news has caused nothing but commotion on NBA Twitter.

NBA Twitter has been on the Lakers’ case since the beginning of the season. The team and the organization fail to catch a break from these tough times. The Lakers fans claim to be in dark times where hope is absent. Even with 70-odd games to go, most of them believe that their season has ended.

LeBron James and the Lakers dragged on Twitter again

Earlier today, reports emerged about the Lakers’ desire to trade in Bradley Beal. The source said, “A star player whom the Lakers are known to covet is Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal”. This statement sent fans into a frenzy. From making fun of the word ‘covet’ to blatantly saying that Beal doesn’t want to play for the Lakers, fans didn’t hold back on expressing their views. Here are some reactions:

This isn’t the first time that the Lakers have expressed their interest in Bradley Beal. In June 2022, a report on a podcast claimed that the Lakers were “eyeing Bradley” with the option of trading Russell Westbrook.

Again in January 2021, ESPN reported that they would love to get Beal on their roster. Supposedly, it is believed that if the Lakers’ quest of signing Anthony Davis failed, then Beal was their Plan B.

The only way the Lakers could get Beal is if he requests a trade. Sources stated that this is an option that he wouldn’t like to choose. As these reports float around, only time can tell what the organization will eventually do to get better.

Until then, fans can only hope that their current roster finds a way to help them out of this difficult position. The Lakers play the Sacramento Kings next. LeBron James’ availability for this game is still in question.
