The passing of NBA legend Kobe Bryant left a deep hole in the hearts of basketball fans. Kobe won every laurel that there is to win in the world of basketball. Whether it be MVP recognition, NBA championship titles, or All-star selections, he had it all. He racked up five NBA titles during his time in the NBA before retiring in the year 2016. A former teammate of Bryant recently paid homage to the superstar as he recalled the time they played together.

Kobe Bryant and his daughter tragically passed away in 2020 due to a helicopter crash in Calabasas. His daughter Gigi Bryant was a budding basketball star, who seemingly had a bright future in the game.

Ronald Artest, now known as Metta Sandiford-Artest, was part of the famed Los Angeles Lakers squad that won the title in the year 2010. Kobe Bryant was the star of the NBA Finals that year as he claimed the Finals MVP trophy. Recently, Sandiford-Artest posted a picture of Kobe on his social media account. He was seen expressing gratitude to the late superstar after posting a cold photo of the Mamba. He wrote, “Without 24, I have zero rings. Thanks, my guy. Love you. R.I.P GG .”

It was heartening to see the former teammate of the late great Bryant paying homage to him. Kobe Bryant still lives in memories of basketball fans. The fans loved Metta’s gesture towards Kobe. They even pointed out that Sandiford-Artest was also pivotal to the Lakers’ success during 2010. He was a reliable asset in crucial games.

He has played well over 900 games in the league. Throughout his career, he averaged 13.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. Sandiford-Artest was known for his determination to help out his team. His work ethic was second to none.
