Stephen Curry has been making headlines all around. After winning a championship and Finals MVP, the former MVP went on to be the man at the ESPYs. However, his most popular obsession outside the court is golfing. The greatest shooter has been around the sport for a long time. But now, he may have competition from a former NBA star to be the best.
Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors had a legendary battle in the finals. LeBron and Steph were going at it almost every year. J. R. Smith was a huge part of the Cavs at the time. During that time, the Baby-Faced Assassin gave him huge problems. Curry won 3 of the 4 finals he played against J.R. However, Smith could be out for revenge.

J. R. Smith got a better stroke than Stephen Curry?
Steph isn’t just draining threes on the basketball court. For the longest time, Curry has brought out his irons for a swing on the course. Notably, the 2 time MVP is always competing against fellow athletes at the American County Championship. Hence, the Chef is never out of practice. But Smith believes Curry has been relaxing with his golf.
When the question of beating Curry on the course rose up, the former Cavs guard didn’t hesitate. The NBA veteran said he would beat him in a round of golf. Smith said: “No, not right now. He fresh off a championship too. He been chilling. I’ve been grinding at this. He’s been chilling.”

Despite Curry being in the golf spotlight, Smith has made headways himself. After a long career in the NBA, he enrolled at North Carolina AT&T State University. Since then, he has been part of the golf team and has accumulated accolades.
The former NBA champion even won Academic Athlete of The Year with a 4.0 GPA. Smith has surely been working really hard. Likewise, it won’t be an easy competition for Steph.
