Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving has caused a massive uproar in the last few days. His controversial post on Twitter has attracted a lot of criticism and Irving failed to address his actions until now. And after the Nets suspended him without pay for at least five games, Irving finally apologized for his actions.

Irving had caused a tremendous storm when he posted a link to a film that had an antisemitic narrative. The film reportedly said that the Holocaust was a hoax. And when asked about the film in an interview, Irving failed to address any of the issues.

And after massive backlash from fans and media from around the world, the Brooklyn Nets?suspended Irving without pay for his “failure to disavow antisemitism”.

After he got suspended, Irving seemed to finally learn his lesson and he went on Instagram to apologize. He said, “While doing research on YHWH, I posted a Documentary that contained some false anti-Semitic statements, narratives, and language that were untrue and offensive to the Jewish Race/Religion, and I take full accountability and responsibly for my actions.”

“To All Jewish families and Communities that are hurt and affected from my post, I am deeply sorry to have caused you pain, and I apologize,”?he added.

He concluded: “I am no different than any other human being. I am a seeker of truth and knowledge, and I know who I Am. “

This is the latest saga that the Nets have had to deal with because of Kyrie Irving. Last season, he refused to take the COVID-19 vaccine, which led to him missing out on a massive chunk of games. And due to this, the Nets failed to build any meaningful chemistry, and they were bounced out in the first round itself.

The Nets seemingly had enough after Irving’s latest controversy, releasing their own statement on the matter. They pulled the trigger and suspended the seven-time All-Star for a minimum of five games. Fans will hope Irving can come back stronger and help contribute positively on the court.

The Brooklyn Nets are currently 13th in the Eastern Conference with a 2-6 record for the season so far.
