Back in 1993, Jordan expressed how his wife Juanita Vanoy was the spine of the household and how he genuinely felt about her. The legendary basketball player would have needed a strong female presence back home, because of his other commitments on and off the court. Raising kids with such a busy schedule would have been difficult for the 6-time champion if Juanita hadn’t helped him out.

His Airness mentioned how his wife was integral in keeping the family together in the bleakest of moments. Jordan and Juanita are not the same as they were three decades ago, but they haven?t failed to make an impact on their kids.

Jordan was interviewed back in 1993, just off the back of his first three-peat. The six-time NBA Champion was asked about things back home. To which, he said,??She?s the head of the household,? said Jordan. He further added, ?And in some ways, I am kinda afraid of her, but not to the point where I won?t go outside, I won?t do anything.? When the interviewer asked if Juanita was the boss, Jordan cheekily replied ?she?s the boss, but she don?t make jump shots, that?s the difference?

His Airness was on top of the world for a very long time, and if not for Juanita, the humbleness would be lost. The immense responsibility of Jordan and his millions of followers was understood well enough by Juanita. The two, however, have separated since then. The couple respectfully parted ways in December 2006.?
The sneak peek into his personal life should not overshadow the stellar season that MJ had in 1993. The Bulls no. 23 led the franchise to their third straight NBA title while being the most important part of the squad.
