Boxing legend Mike Tyson is not one to mince words regarding issues. Whether it is an issue regarding the sporting world or beyond, Mike never fails to enlighten us with his opinions. In an unearthed interview, the boxing legend touched upon NBA star Dwayne Wade and his child.

For the ones looking for context, Wade’s child, Zaya is openly gay. Needless to say, Wade is very expressive about his love for his child and he never fails to talk about how he supports Zaya.

However, Lil Boosie, a popular rapper made headlines after bashing Zaya and also Wade. The former Miami Heat star received support from a very unlikely source. It was none other than Mike Tyson.

The former boxing champion thrashed Boosie for his words and also reflected on his dark past. Tyson talked about how he did not like himself and wanted to kill himself for a long time.

Tyson said, “I didn’t like myself for a long time because I did a lot of sh*t to people. I’m an abused kid that abuse people.” He further added, “I always wanted to die. I always wanted to kill myself but I couldn’t kill myself so now I got to deal with who I am.”

Needless to say, Dwyane Wade was well aware of Mike Tyson’s support for Zaya and the former NBA champion was grateful to the boxing legend.

After Tyson’s supportive words toward Zaya and Dwyane, Wade thanked him for his words. He said, “He’s one of those people … he’s so smart, he’s so educated and knowledgeable about life and for him to drop that nugget on the world … to me, it was great to hear him say that.”

Moreover, Wade did not show any animosity towards Lil Boosie. He simply brushed off the image and talked about how people have different approaches and different paths to life.
