For someone who thought he would remain unmarried for the rest of his life, Jordan went on to get married twice. But how were things before that? Michael Jordan sat down with Connie Chung for an interview in 1993.
Michael Jordan and his perspective before marriage
The two talked about various things going on in Jordan?s life. One thing Chung addressed was the amount of popularity Michael Jordan had. And whether he had to face the same level of paparazzi outside the country.?
Jordan mentioned that Paris was one of the places where he was able to achieve that. People did not pay attention and he could spend his time outside, looking at other people going on with their daily lives.?
That is when Chung mentioned that Jordan seemed very normal to him. As Chung narrated that Jordan has always aspired for normalcy, and that is when MJ said, ?I always felt I was going to be a bachelor.??
He also told Chung that he preferred to do his own chores including, cooking, cleaning, and such because that is what he did growing up when he had similar chores to do around the house. Right when Chung mentioned that he was like a poster boy for clean living, Jordan clarified that he would still clean up his mess if the maid was not coming in. “I am a tidy person, I don’t like to have a dirty home or an untidy situation,” Jordan added.?

Jordan and his current marital status
This interview was after Jordan had gotten married. MJ married Juanita Vanoy on September 2, 1989. The couple went on to have two sons and a daughter together before calling it quits in December 2006.
Eventually, Jordan got married once again back in 2011. He proposed to his long-time girlfriend Yvette Prieto, who was a Cuban-American model at the time. They got married in 2013 and the couple has since been blessed with twin daughters as well.
