Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings will face off against each other tomorrow in Game 7 of the series to determine who will go to the next round. The series has been one of the best first-round matchups in years. The NBA world is understandably excited to witness the first Game 7 of this year’s Playoffs, including NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley. However, Sir Charles is not just excited by the Warriors-Kings matchup, but two more Game 7s as well. Although those two games are in a different sport. This immediately led to co-host Shaquille O’Neal hilariously trolling him on national television.

Given that the show is called Inside the NBA, Charles Barkley may have been a little out of line revealing his excitement for another sport. And Shaquille O’Neal let him know right away on live TV.

The hosts on Inside the NBA were going to discuss the Denver Nuggets Game 1 win over the Phoenix Suns. However, the show immediately started with shots fired by Shaq toward Barkley, which simmered him down right away.

It was both surprising and not so surprising to see that Charles Barkley was hyped about the two Game 7s in hockey on the same day as the deciding game between the Warriors and the Kings. The Philadelphia 76ers legend said, “We got Game 1 at the Knicks, we got Game 7 Warriors. But we got two Game 7’s in hockey tomorrow night,” revealing his excitement for Sunday.

This led Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal to immediately deflate Sir Charles’ excitement. Shaq said right away, “Ain’t nobody watching that but you. Ain’t nobody watching hockey but you.”

To that, Barkley responded with, “Oh, trust me, the whole city of Boston will be watching.” However, the damage had been done with the Lakers icon by then as Barkley lost all enthusiasm as soon as Shaq said that.

Interestingly, the Boston Bruins will be hosting the Florida Panthers and the Seattle Kraken will host the Colorado Avalanche in two Game 7s in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Sunday. For someone like Barkley, who loves both the NBA and NHL, Sunday might become the most exciting day of the year.

Charles Barkley may get hyped once again

Charles Barkley’s enthusiasm may rise up to the level once again after knowing that there will now be three Game 7’s in the NHL now, instead of two as the New York Rangers forced a Game 7 against the New Jersey Devils. However, the rest of the co-hosts will still be focused on the game between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings, given how crucial and memorable this series is turning out to be.
