A noted journalist, Brendan Tobin recently spoke with Butler and initially asked him about his thoughts on Mourning being excited about the New York Knicks vs Miami Heat rivalry getting renewed again. The 33-year-old said he is keeping his attitude the same as it was before and looking forward to competing and picking up wins as they probably have a chance of winning the title this year. Following this, the interviewer asked him about his thoughts on the Heat legend calling him his hero.

Butler responded by saying, “I think that was a spur of the moment, I ain’t nobody’s hero. I’m just a decent basketball player that’s so fortunate to put on a Heat uniform and compete with these teammates and those historic players and HOFers we’ve had.”

The 6ft 7 forward has always received praise for his performance, especially in the playoffs but this time those compliments reached an all-time high as he eliminated the Milwaukee Bucks. Though it’s not easy to remain calm after receiving praise from not only fans but these kinds of legends, Butler is seemingly trying to control his emotions as much as possible.
