What does it mean for Stephen Curry if the Golden State Warriors consider Stephen A. Smith’s latest suggestion? The popular analyst recently called upon the wrath of NBA fans. Smith’s take on a possible Los Angeles Lakers-Golden State Warriors trade was seemingly not well-received by the fans. Smith made the revelation shortly before the Lakers vs Clippers game on November 9, 2022.

The Los Angeles Lakers are down by 2-9 for the season so far. It is evident that the team is struggling this season. Given that they have only won two games out of the 11 played, it’s safe to say that Lakers fans are not too hopeful about the playoffs. As the Lakers kept losing one game after the other, NBA analysts came up with trade suggestions of their own. One such trade idea rubbed the Golden State Warriors fans the wrong way.

On Wednesday night, NBA analysts Stephen A. Smith, Michael Wilbon, and Jalen Rose discussed the possibility of the Lakers becoming contenders again. As they talked about possible trade options for the Lakers, Smith stated that he would trade Anthony Davis for two certain Warriors stars.
Not Stephen Curry, but an NBA analyst wants his teammates to be traded to the Lakers
Stephen A. Smith said that if he was in the Los Angeles Lakers, he would rather give a call to the Golden State Warriors. The reason was that he would ask the Warriors to trade Draymond Green and Klay Thompson in exchange for Anthony Davis.
“If I’m the Los Angeles Lakers, I might pick up the phone and call Bob Myers and Joe Laker and say ‘Anthony Davis, give me Klay Thompson and Draymond,'” said Smith.

In response, Jalen Rose said that he wouldn’t opt for the trade. He stated that AD is actually playing well this season despite having a history of mostly staying off the court due to injuries. Therefore, he wouldn’t get real value in exchange for AD. Similarly, NBA fans are not too keen on the trade as well which was why Smith’s suggestion pressed all the wrong buttons in them.

While some fans felt that the deal would do no good to either of the teams, others argued that the Warriors would lose more than they were getting. Stephen Curry’s Warriors don’t seem to be?doing any better than the Lakers as they recently lost five consecutive games. Being the defending champions, it is not really uplifting for fans to see their team lose seven games out of the 11 they have played. Nevertheless, unless the trade happens, one wouldn’t know if it would bring any positive changes in both teams or in fact make it worse.
