LeBron James was always the “chosen one”. Ever since his high school days, he was the undisputed phenom of basketball, who was destined to be the next great thing. And it is a testament to LeBron’s greatness that he not only achieved what was expected from him but surpassed it too.

This season was seen as an overall failure for the Lakers as they failed to even qualify for the play-in tournament. They were one of the pre-season favorites for the NBA Championship. They traded for Westbrook in a huge trade, which eventually hampered their team chemistry.

When the Cleveland Cavaliers drafted LeBron, he was looked at as a savior for a franchise that looked like the worst in the league and had never even made the NBA Finals. Though they didn’t qualify for the postseason in his first two seasons, he led them to the NBA Finals in his fourth season.

They beat the Detroit Pistons on the way who were a heavily favored team. He came back to the franchise in 2014 after leaving them in 2010. And finally won them the NBA title in 2016.
